Screening hedges along the boundary, which do most of the privacy work now that houses sit closer together. We keep the density through the lower half rather than cutting it thin and losing the screen.
How we trim hedges
Narrow side strips, beds, paving joints and gravel cleared back, roots included. On a small yard weeds are the whole impression, so this is usually the most visible part of the visit.
How we handle weeding
Mulch at a depth that holds moisture in a yard with no canopy left over it. On an exposed rebuild this is the cheapest thing that keeps planting alive through February.
What our mulching involves
Keeping what remains in proportion to a smaller space, and lifting growth off roofs, gutters and the new fence lines. Where a tree sits close to a secondary dwelling we prune to clear it properly.
See our pruning and trimming
New lawn on the patch that is left, over prepared and levelled ground. Where runoff from new roof and paving collects, we deal with the fall first or the same corner fails every wet season.
How we lay new turf
Clippings, prunings, leftover building rubble and old turf taken away. On a compact block there is nowhere to stage a pile, so all of it goes with us on the day.
See our rubbish removal
Removing a tree that no longer suits a reduced yard or sits too close to a new structure. The City of Canterbury Bankstown controls removal and significant pruning of many trees, and we check before quoting.
