Clipped hedges, formal shapes and screening runs cut to a true line. On a garden with real structure this is the work that holds the whole design together, and it suits a regular cycle rather than an annual cut.
How we trim hedges
Lifting and thinning mature canopy so light reaches the garden below, done in a way that keeps the shape of the tree. On specimens this old we stage the work rather than taking it back in one go.
See our pruning and trimming
Beds, paths and paving joints cleared back to a clean finish, roots included. On a formal garden the bed edge does a lot of the visual work, so keeping it clean matters more than it would elsewhere.
How we handle weeding
Mulch at a depth suited to shaded beds, which need less than an open garden and sour if overdone. We keep it clear of trunks and surface roots rather than heaping it against them.
What our mulching involves
New lawn over prepared ground with a shade-tolerant variety. Under a Wahroonga canopy a sun-loving turf will thin out within a year however well it is laid.
How we lay new turf
Removing a tree that is unsafe or has outgrown its position. Ku-ring-gai Council controls removal and significant pruning of many established trees, and there are few suburbs where that matters more. We check before quoting.
About our tree lopping work
Prunings, leaf litter, hedge clippings and green waste taken away each visit. A single hedge cut on a garden this size fills a load on its own.
