Entertaining areas, paths and pool surrounds paved to a level, free-draining finish. Near the beach we choose mortar, fixings and sealers that hold up in salt air rather than generic products.
How we approach paving
Walls to hold a change of level and square a block into usable flat yard, built with drainage behind them. Closer to the water we specify corrosion-resistant fixings as standard.
How we build retaining walls
New lawn over prepared and graded ground. In sandy soil we improve it first, because turf laid straight onto sand will not carry a dry summer.
How we lay new turf
Boundary screens and front hedges cut to a clean line, kept dense low down where they are doing the privacy and wind work.
How we trim hedges
Mulch at a depth that holds moisture in sandy, exposed ground, and at a grade that does not blow around on a windy block.
More on mulching
Lifting canopies off roofs and gutters and thinning growth so light reaches the garden. On exposed blocks we prune to balance the windward and sheltered faces rather than cutting every side to one line.
See our pruning and trimming
Beds, paths, paving joints and gravel cleared back to a clean finish, roots included.
More on weeding
Old paving, broken concrete, cleared planting and green waste taken away. On a larger block a clean-up fills real volume and we size it honestly.

Removing a tree that threatens a structure or has outgrown its position. The City of Randwick controls removal and significant pruning of many trees, and we check before quoting.
