Where the ground drops off behind the house, the lawn you want is not possible until the ground is held. We build the retaining first, backfill and drain it properly, then put the turf, paving or beds on top of something that will not move in a wet summer.

Often, yes. The City of Parramatta controls the removal and significant pruning of many established trees, and Epping has a lot of them. Some small or exempt species can be done without it. We check the tree when we quote and tell you plainly whether it looks like an approval job before any work is booked in.

It depends far more on access and ground conditions than on suburb. A tidy-up, mulch and fresh turf on an open block is a very different number to a retaining wall on a slope with no side access. That is why the on-site quote is free and the price we give you is fixed in writing before we start.
By hand and barrow where machinery cannot fit, which is common on the older Epping blocks and on anything with a rear or shared driveway. We protect the route in, keep the footpath clear, and take all green waste, old turf and broken material with us when we go.
